WORLD DIABETES DAY (DUBAI 2020)

Shot in Dubai for World Diabetes Day 2020, we wanted to celebrate all the healthcare staff that make the lives of countless diabetic patients that much easier. We found locals & expats from all across the world who reside in Dubai & recorded them saying thank you to their Diabetic doctors. This film allowed us the opportunity to showcase a broad diversity of ethnicities, cultures & races all residing within Dubai to emphasize the non-discriminate nature of this affliction. So many doctors were only seeing masked patients because of the covid outbreak, so we wanted to unmask our patients, revealing their humanity as they gave thanks. In the end the film feels uplifting: instead of harping on the hardships, we wanted to celebrate & lift up those who spend their lives helping to bring comfort & quality of life to those affected by diabetes.

Filming this commercial right as the pandemic hit presented us with a host of logistical & practical challenges from safety & travel to casting. In the end the efforts & persistence of an amazing creative & production team meant we were able to get it done just before going back into lockdown.
