Bugaboo: turtle by nuna

 

In this campaign we were tasked with creating two films, each unique in feel & tone, to promote bugaboo’s new multifunctional stroller/car seat.

Relatability sat at the Centre of our storytelling - creating moments that resonated with new parents & characters that felt authentic & contemporary.

Tonally we went with a mixture of comedy & sincerity: being able to laugh at the sometimes overwhelming moments that come with being a new parent.

Working with infants is an absolute joy, but brings along with it a host of logistical challenges. We were only able to shoot with each infant for a max total of 3 hours per day so we had to be smart about how to arrange filming & when & where to include our cast infants so it still felt like they were ever present.

We also wanted these films to work for social so we made sure to shoot in a way that can work for our 16x9 hero films, but also for the 9x16 social cutdowns when it came to aspect ratio as well as coverage. For the cutdowns we made use of a split screen technique that uses simultaneous storytelling, allowing us to keep all the story points & cut our duration.

The campaign was very well received, going on to air in Times Square NYC
